LionDub is a nine piece band from the town of Gävle in the northern part of Sweden.
The band has for many years been one of the best reggae bands in Sweden and released their latest album "Dub Forward" as late as November 2008. LionDub is also currently in the progress of creating a yet another album in cooperation with the top Swedish reggae label Rub-a-Dub records.

LionDub have over the years become famous as one of the best live reggae acts in Sweden. LionDub delivers roots reggae heavy as lead with influences from brittish reggae and dub to unressistable Lovers Rock. Their music forces any stage or audience to start moving. The bands nine members have during the 10 years together created their own sound both through dilligent touring as well as through the close cooperation with Tom "Internal Dread" Hofwander at Rub-a-Dub records in Stockholm. LionDub is famous for their strong melodies, their stunning brass section and their lyrics that always have a clear message of universal love.

LionDub have over the years played at several reggae festivals, i.e. Uppsala Reggaefestival and Mosebacke ReggaeWeek. Liondub have also played at other clubs and festivals all over Sweden, i.e. Fasching, Sundvalls Gatufest, Kramfors Stadsfest, Gävle Cityfest.

LionDub started in the autumn of 2008 a new and very interesting cooperation at the release of their dubalbum "Dub Forward". Liondub had the great honor to work together with the world artist and living legend from the brittish reggae scen, Dennis Bovell - well known as the The DubMaster of Brittish reagge and music leader in the supporting band to other world reggae artists like Linton Kwesi Johnson. The cooperation with Dennis Bovell will hopefully also generate a contribution by the The DubMaster himself on the new album. Over the years, LionDub has also worked together with several other famous reggae artists such as Joseph Beckford, legendary trombonist and backing vocals in the brittish reggaeband Culture as well as Ranking Fire, world famous reggae artist from Gambia.

Liondub is proud to be a band under the quality label Rub-a-Dub records. The company's producer Tom "Internal Dread" Hofwander created together with LionDub's guitar player and music mentor Lennart "Lelle" Wastesson the praised debut album "Trod Forward" released in late 2004. Tom "Internal Dread" Hofwander is considered to be one of the best dub-sound technician in the world. Lennart "Lelle" Wastesson is more known in the Swedish music community as a sing and song writer of hit songs like Jill Jonsson's "Crazy in Love" and After Dark's "La Dolce Vita".
